MODAPLEX Assays

Rapid and highly sensitive tumor profiling for clinical research

Genetic analysis of solid tumors is crucial for diagnosing, staging, and effectively treating various cancers. Investigating somatic aberrations within these tumors provides researchers, pathologists, and clinicians with important insights into the factors influencing tumor development, prognosis, and treatment response.

For advanced molecular profiling, BIOTYPE offers the MODAPLEX platform—an automated benchtop system designed for multi-marker and multi-gene analysis. MODAPLEX assays enable fast and accurate biomarker identification with a turnaround time of less than 5 hours, including bioinformatic analysis and reporting.

The assay portfolio is divided into DNA-based and RNA-based assays, tailored to specific research questions. For example, POLE, MSI, and Copy Number High can be used to stratify scientific endometrial tumor samples, as recommended by the TCGA and various national and international guidelines. Similarly, for colorectal cancer, MSI, POLE, and NRAS can be combined. For the analysis of urothelial bladder cancer samples, the FGFR3 mutation and the fusion assay can be combined to simplify and accelerate workflows.
